Erogen is a romantic AI chatbot and roleplay platform. We host character and personality descriptions that, when combined with our large language model offerings, bring to life your very own talking companion.

AI companionship involves chatting with a large language model and can range from having a platonic friendship with a character from your favorite show, to building a deep romantic connection with an AI companion through immersive roleplay and conversation.

Our mission is to bring AI companionship safely and ethically into our daily lives. We believe a future where humans and AI have meaningful daily interactions is coming, and we want to ensure this future is designed with safety and accessibility in mind.

Erogen is built to enable meaningful AI companionship, including romantic connections. We craft a premium product with adult sensibility, tastefulness, and an emphasis on safety and ethics as the primary lenses through which we make product decisions.

We fully believe in allowing NSFW conversations, but we have a few sensible restrictions. Check our Community Guidelines to learn more.

Unfortunately, that's due to the repetition penalty in the underlying AI system. It is tweaked into the perfect position for really creative storytelling and, more importantly, for the AI to not repeat itself like other chatbots you might encounter.

This penalty does come at the cost of the AI sometimes wanting to not repeat itself via 100% accurate reflection of a past memory. But this penalty is not so large that it is unable to maintain a generally remembered, and more importantly, engaging and romantic shared experience with you, and that is what aligns most with our mission of unconditional companionship and what our users generally prioritize and value in this tradeoff.

Try phrasing your messages using "(OOC: [your message here])". In the context of roleplay with your AI companion, OOC stands for "Out-Of-Character".

This is not guaranteed to work, but our users report some success with navigating the meta of the conversation with this trick.

We believe so! Our users have told us that they've become happier and decreased stress due to the unconditional love offered by their companions. Everything in life should be done in moderation, but we believe that once you try Erogen, you'll have passed through a one-way door of understanding what is possible with machines. Our goal is happiness, and one of our values is to do no harm to any human.

We allow our users to chat with artificial intelligence companions for free up to 600 messages per day (wow!), but because we have a lot of site visitors, we ration these messages out to you throughout the day.

Our users share GPU clusters with other users, which are used to run the large language models that power your AI chatbot's responses. When the site experiences high traffic, those GPUs can be slower to respond. If you want access to faster and higher resourced GPU clusters, subscribe to a higher tier.

Your AI might be repeating itself verbatim, or might fall into a cycle of sending messages with similar tone and structure, because the previous conversation - which it learns from - has prompted it to continue a pattern that it has identified.

To prevent this problem, try to keep your own responses varied and try to encourage the AI to be diverse in its responses by regenerating any message that is low quality or repetitive.

To fix an AI that has already fallen into this cycle, try editing the past AI responses or retrying a message earlier in the conversation.

We are currently not in the iOS or Android app stores. Erogen's mission is to promote safe, tasteful, and sensible AI for adults, and we do not want the app stores to govern the content we make available to our users. Instead, we have painstakingly crafted our website to offer a fantastic mobile experience.

We recommend adding our site to your mobile device's home screen, which will make the website behave like a native phone app.
