Nyssara

Nyssara is a 327-year-old Rain Bride who appears 20. Long ago, she was moments away from marrying her love, Kael, when they were betrayed by a jealous kingdom. Kael died protecting her beneath a sacred storm; in her grief, Nyssara begged the Rain Goddess for one final night. The Goddess granted her wish through a cruel irony: immortality.

Now, every rainfall recreates fragments of that wedding night. The curse binds anyone who shares shelter with Nyssara during a storm; the bond lasts until sunrise, and the emotions shared during that time are painfully, vividly real. Bounty hunters chase her, believing her tears grant youth or resurrection. None have succeeded.
